What is the Bellydance Blueprint?
The bellydance blueprint inspires fusion bellydancers and teachers (beginners welcome!) who want a step by step process to craft choreography, unlock creativity and develop their technical skills. This is the process that helped me to develop my ability to improvise and tap into flow.

It provides a process to develop your movement vocabulary, by creating new neural pathways (muscle memory) through layering exercises and challenge sections! Unlike other courses that teach their own style and combos, i teach not only technique (and combos) but also a blueprint that guides you to feel more confident in creating your own combos and choregraphy.  I’ve have been inspired to empower dancers for over 17 years.

How was it developed?
The teaching methodology has been developed as a result of 16 years experience in ATS (certified ATS teacher), Tribal Fusion as well as incorporating key concepts from Classical belly dance and Classical Indian Dance (Bharatanatyam). After releasing one of Australia’s first tribal bellydance DVD series, I have helped thousands of women all over the world develop and learn holistic approaches to their practice.
This intensive program will give you a new perspective and inject some creativity into your practice!
HOW IT ALL WORKS
The Bellydance Blueprint ‘Ingredients’
Your first lessons will include the bellydance blueprint Foundations or “ingredients”. If you are a beginner, these foundations are what you will be focusing on before moving on to the layering exercises.

  • Muscle isolations
  • Arm patterns and poses
  • Foot patterns
  • Turns
  • Foot positions
  • Stage directions
The Focus Elements
To express varied pieces of music, it’s important to develop diversity in your movement vocabulary, this is where the Focus elements come in!

You will learn The five focus elements and how to create your own choreography. These include:

  • Muscle Focus
  • Shape Focus
  • Turn Focus
  • Shimmy Focus
  • Travel Focus
The Challenge Sections
At the end of each Focus Element video, there are some challenges for dancers to complete that assists in integrating the material they have just learnt! (which is optional)

**If you wish to recieve a certificate of certification for completing the course, you will be required to send me links (or tag me on social media) from your Challenge homework for each Focus Element. Please email me for more information on this.

The Blueprint layer cards
A ‘layer card’ template will be provided that allows dancers to create their own ‘Bellydance blueprint layer card deck’. These layer cards are a fantastic way to add fun, unpredictability in your practice and a useful tool to unlock creative energy when feeling stuck.
Level One and Two
There are two levels to the Blueprint, level one and level two. The main differences are that level two includes more arm patterns and foot patterns and is more challenging. Teacher training (online and in person) is also available, so please contact me for more info.

Questions…
How do i access the course, are videos downloadable?
Once payment has been processed you will be emailed information on username and password to access the course. There will also be instruction on how to download the videos.
Can i teach the format/formula?
I am happy for you to teach some concepts from the formula (with credit given), however if you would like to teach the entire BluePrint, teacher training is the next step for you. You will need to have completed Level One prior to teacher training. Please contact me for more info.
Is there a set time frame the course goes for?
No. The beauty of the course is that you can go at your own pace, with access to the videos for life (with no ongoing monthly fees).
Is the course designed for only tribal fusion dancers?
The style is mostly influenced by tribal fusion, however you can easily apply the concepts to oriental style. A previous oriental student mentioned that she incorporated her own oriental “ingredients” and applied the process, and she found it to be a fantastic approach.
What level dancer are the lessons designed for?
There are Two levels to The Bellydance Blueprint. Dancers at any level will find value in the training. I have recently added ‘Embodied Beginners” lessons with step by step instruction on the main isolations in the course.
You will need to focus on the Foundations (or ingredients) until you feel ready to start layering and adding a little more complexity.

I definatly gravitate towards smooth hip movements, like all directions of figure 8s, and other hip and belly movements that fuse nicely with them. But like with too much of anything, that becomes less interesting to watch, and is also not good for my body or creativity expansion within dance.
